The Design

The antique finish of this coin darkens the natural white bright from silver and gives it an ancient aspect. The darker tone makes an interesting contrast with the 18k gold-plated dragon head charm that lies in the middle of the coin.

The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II’s official memorial portrait on top, which consists of Her Majesty’s bust designed by Ian-Rank Broadley with her reigning period “1952-2022.” 

The inscriptions accompanying the effigy on the border read “1 DOLLAR,” “TUVALU,” “2024,” and “QUEEN ELIZABETH II.”

The reverse displays a serpentine-shaped dragon encircling the charm in search of its pearl. The description of the coin’s weight, metal content, and purity is aside and reads “1 oz 9999 SILVER.”

The “P” mint mark from the Perth Mint is on the lower right.
