Stamping gold and silver coins of varied sizes, St. George’s design is inspired by the remarkable Benedetto Pistrucci’s illustration featured in The Gold Sovereign Collection.

This coin is a standard sample weighing 1 Troy oz of 99.9% fine silver. And it is available for purchase now at SD Bullion.

The Design

The obverse showcases Martin Jennings' portrayal of King Charles III. His Majesty’s bust is encircled by the inscriptions: “CHARLES III’ D’G’REX’F’D” and “2’POUNDS”, referring to the Latin initials "King Charles III, by the Grace of God, Defender of the Faith," and the coin’s face value.

Jody Clark designed the reverse, an inspired reproduction of Benedetto Pistrucci’s illustration traditionally stamped on The Sovereign Collection.

The circle limiting the artistry consists of a repeated pattern describing the year of issuance, weight, metal content, and fineness, which read: “2024 1OZ 999 FINE SILVER.”
