2023 Peace Silver Dollar with Box & COA
The Peace Silver Dollar is an iconic silver coin with a significant historical value in American coinage.
The US Mint initially struck Peace Dollars from 1921 to 1928, substituting the Morgan Silver Dollar. Its moniker and design come from the clamor for peace that followed World War I.
They were reintroduced in 2021 to celebrate the coin’s centenary. Since then, every year, the US Mint releases a new mintage of Peace Silver Dollars to meet the demand from avid coin collectors.
Housed in an original mint box and accompanied by a COA, the 2023 Peace Silver Dollars are available for purchase now at SD Bullion.

The Design
The Peace Dollar obverse design showcases Lady Liberty’s original depiction as created by artist Anthony de Francisci in 1921. It displays Liberty wearing a radiant crown, with the engravings “LIBERTY,” arching over her depiction, “IN GOD WE TRUST,” flanking her neck, and the year of issuance at the bottom.
The reverse features a peaceful bald eagle resting on a rock, holding an olive branch in its talon. The inscriptions follow the obverse pattern, in which “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM” are on top, “ONE DOLLAR” flanks the Eagle, and “PEACE” lies at the bottom rim.
The reverse design does not present a mint mark since these coins were produced in the Philadelphia branch.
