The Design

Fang’s design for the 2021 gold coin features a mother panda and her growing cub climbing a tree. The enchanting family scenes first began in 2019 when Fang designed the first Panda life story on that year’s issue.
The obverse features The Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, located in Beijing's Temple of Heaven. It is surrounded by Chinese lettering, reading "People's Republic of China," and the year of issue, 2021. This obverse design remains unchanged year to year.
Each 2021 30 Gram Chinese Gold Panda Coin comes in BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) condition. As shown under the Panda's profile on the reverse of the coin, each 2021 30g Gold Panda holds the legal tender value of 500 Yuan.
