1996 Australian Gold Nugget Proof 4-Coin 10th Anniversary Set
Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Australian Gold Nugget's first release, the Australian Perth Mint prepared a commemorative edition of the 1996 Australian Gold Nugget Proof 4-Coin Set.
The 10th Anniversary Coin Set comprises the standard coins of the Australian Gold Nugget Series: a half-ounce, a quarter-ounce, and a tenth-ounce gold coin, all 99.99% pure, as well as a unique one-ounce gold-plated silver medallion which is included for free as part of the set.
These coins are housed in a customized wooden box and accompanied by a COA.

The Coins’ Design
The 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz share the same design.
On the obverse, they showcase the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Raphael Maklouf, accompanied by inscriptions that inform their face value.
The 1996 reverse design displays the hopping Kangaroo, accompanied by the Prospector privy mark and the “P” mint mark from the Perth Mint.
The engravings encircling this side describe the coin’s name, weight, purity, metal content, and year of issuance.
Unlike them, the 1 Troy oz Gold-plated silver coin features the prospector on the obverse, surrounded by the engravings “10TH ANNIVERSARY AUSTRALIAN NUGGET” and “1986-1996.”
On the reverse side, it presents the Perth Mint’s swan symbol of the mint’s logo, with the engravings “THE PERTH MINT” and “EST. 1899.”
