The Perth Mint produces several sizes of Kangaroo Coins in silver, platinum, and gold.
Unique annual designs combined with metal and size variations contribute to making Australian Kangaroos an exciting collection.
In addition, these coins are 999.9 pure. For investors who want to acquire physical gold bullion to include in their investment portfolios and vary their assets, Australian Gold Kangaroos may be a sensible option.

The Gold Kangaroo Designs
Unlike its silver counterpart, which has a standard design, Gold Kangaroos get a unique design every year.
Kangaroos are native marsupials from Australia and have become a national symbol since their inclusion in the country’s Coat of Arms. They also represent development and evolution, as kangaroos hardly move backward.
Besides the inscription “KANGAROO,” the design displays the coin’s year of mintage, weight, fineness, and metal content through “2024 1 oz 9999 GOLD.”
The 2024 edition displays the new obverse design with King Charles III for the first time. Along with the rising King's left profile, the inscriptions read: “CHARLES III,” “AUSTRALIA,” and “100 DOLLARS.”
The Australian Perth Mint
The foundation of the Perth Mint goes back to the colonial period when the country belonged to the British Empire. The Royal Mint decided to have a local facility to ease bullion refining and avoid losses when transporting precious metals to the London headquarters.
When Australia became a sovereign nation, the Western Australian Government became the mint’s new owner maintaining the production of bullion coins for internal circulation and, later, to meet international demand.
