The reverse was designed by Miley Busiek. It depicts a female eagle cherishing her hatchling under her wing while the male perches on their nest.
Engravings describing weight, metal content, and face value read “1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD—5 DOLLARS.” Additional engravings read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.”
