1993 PCGS PR-69 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof Coin
US Silver Eagles are the official silver coin in the US. They are 99.9% fine silver coins imprinted with iconic motifs designed by the legendary Adolph A. Weinman and John Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver of the US Mint.
The US Mint also manufactures Proof Silver Eagles for collecting purposes. Designed to perfection and struck with unparalleled precision, these coins exhibit sophistication and grace with a mirror-like finish that highlights every little detail of the design elements.
Today, SD Bullion offers 1993 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof coins, sealed in PCGS slabs and graded as PR-69 coins.

The Design
The Heraldic Eagle reverse design was created by John Mercanti. It features the Eagle carrying the national seal on its chest, arrows and olive branches on its talons, and a banner with the motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM” on its beak. The thirteen stars on top refer to the original Thirteen Colonies.
The image is surrounded by “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR,” which explain face value, weight, metal content, and purity.
The Walking Liberty obverse design, designed by Adolph A. Weinman, was initially used on 1917 Half-Dollar Coins.
It showcases Lady Liberty folded in the American flag and holding oak and laurel branches in her arm. The inscriptions “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the year of issuance accompany the image.
Because it is a proof coin, its surfaces exhibit a mirror-like luster, which contrasts with the design’s frosted image.
A PCGS PR-69 Coin
The Sheldon Grading Scale ranges from 1 to 70 and is used as a parameter for third-party services, like PCGS, which stands for Professional Coin Grading Service, to appraise and grade coins.
According to the scale, PR stands for Proof Coin, indicating a coin produced for collection purposes, which exhibits mirror-like surfaces in contrast with frosted design elements. 69 is the grade attributed to coins whose flaws are almost invisible.
