Displaying the PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) blue label, each of these plastic slabs contains one 1987 American Silver Eagle Proof Coin in perfect PR-70 Deep Cameo condition. These coins are part of only second release in the famous US Mint American Silver Eagle coin series.


PR-70 grades are reserved for coins that do not showcase any physical imperfection whatsoever, while Deep Cameo designations are awarded for significant contrasting between the frosted designs and the polished silver surface. PCGS came into being to standardize grading practices for coins, by utilizing the popular Sheldon Grading Scale. Over three decades of its operation, this third-party agency has graded over 33 million coins valued at over $29 billion.


Every 1987 American Silver Eagle Proof Coin is struck using 0.999 pure silver, weighing 1 troy ounce. Moreover, these coins carry a $1 face value each.


The famed Walking Liberty design is depicted on the obverses of these coins, portraying Lady Liberty striding toward the rising sun, while clutching olive branches in her arm. Created by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916, this design has become one of the most acclaimed portrayals of Lady Liberty – successfully capturing the famous American symbol, in all her glory.
