1926 NGC MS-62 Peace Dollar Silver Coin
The US Mint introduced Peace Dollars in the American market in 1921, celebrating peace and hope after World War I, replacing the Morgan Dollar as the official USD1 coin.
The Peace Dollar, designed by Italian-American sculptor Anthony de Francisci, was crafted by the U.S. Mint from 1921 to 1928, with additional issues in 1934 and 1935. Like the Morgan Dollar, each Peace Dollar contains .7734 Troy oz of silver.
