1916-1947 NGC MS-63 Walking Liberty Half Dollar Coin - Original Bag Fragment
The Walking Liberty coin circulated in the United States as the official half-dollar from 1916 to 1947.
Crafted from a silver copper alloy, it showcased Adolph A. Weinman’s famous Walking Liberty design. Years later, this design was revived for the American Eagle Program, becoming the official obverse of U.S. Silver Eagles.
These particular half-dollar coins were sourced from a section of an original shipping bag and then authenticated by the NGC.
Today, SD Bullion offers Walking Liberty Half Dollar Coins graded by NGC as MS-63 samples. According to your inventory availability, they may have varied mintages from 1916 to 1947, randomly taken from our stocks.

On the reverse, a Bald Eagle stands on a rock, wings ready for flight, gripping oak branches in its talons. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" is inscribed at the top, "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on the left, and the denomination "HALF DOLLAR" appears below the eagle.
An NGC MS-63 coin
Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70 based on their condition.
MS stands for Mint State, indicating a coin produced in a business circulation sample format. Grade 63 indicates that the coin may present marks and minor visible hairlines but still have an attractive overall appearance.
