The 1887 Morgan Silver Dollar BU is an enduring emblem of American history. Minted from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921, it is a cherished artifact among collectors and enthusiasts—so much so that the US Mint has released a commemorative modern version of the Morgan Dollars.

Designed by George T. Morgan, this iconic coin mirrors the economic landscape of late 19th-century America. Comprising 90% silver and 10% copper, it was produced at various US Mint facilities, including Philadelphia, San Francisco, and New Orleans.

On the reverse, a majestic eagle holds symbols of peace and war, with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "ONE DOLLAR" encircling it. As this coin was produced in the Philadelphia Mint, it bears no mint marks.
