1882-1884-CC NGC MS-62 Morgan Silver Dollar GSA with Box & COA - Random Year
The Morgan Dollar, a U.S. silver coin, was minted from 1878 to 1904 and had an additional production run in 1921 to serve as the official US dollar coin.
The coin was struck at several U.S. Mint branches, including the Carson City Mint, which ceased operations in 1893.
Morgan Dollars minted in Carson City between 1882 and 1884 were stored in the U.S. Treasury until 1970 when the General Services Administration (GSA) was authorized to sell them to the public.
These uncirculated coins are preserved in GSA slabs, packaged in black boxes with light-blue velvet-like interiors, and include a message from President Richard Nixon.
Today, SD Bullion offers 1882-1884-CC Morgan Silver Dollars GSA with Box & Certificate of Authenticity of varied mintages, sealed in NGC slabs and graded as MS-62 coins.

The Design

Surrounding the image are the words "E PLURIBUS UNUM," thirteen five-pointed stars representing the Thirteen Original Colonies, and the year of issuance at the base.
The reverse depicts a Bald Eagle with outstretched wings, clutching arrows and olive branches amidst laurels. Above the Eagle's head is the inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST," while the border reads "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "ONE DOLLAR."
An NGC MS-62 Coin
NGC—Numismatic Guaranty Company appraises and grades coins apart from sovereign mints, using the Sheldon Grading Scale to rank coins from 1 to 70.
An MS coin means Mint State, a coin issued as a business circulation sample. Grade 62 suggests that the coin may present marks and hairlines in focal areas, noticeable scuff marks, and below-average planchet quality. But acceptable overall appearance.
