1882-1884-CC NGC MS-61 Morgan Silver Dollar GSA with Box & COA - Random Year
The Morgan Dollar, an iconic U.S. silver coin, was minted from 1878 to 1904, with a final production run in 1921. It served as the nation’s official dollar coin during those periods.
This coin was struck at multiple U.S. Mint facilities, including the Carson City Mint, which ended operations in 1893. Morgan Dollars minted in Carson City from 1882 to 1884 were held in the U.S. Treasury until 1970 when the General Services Administration (GSA) was authorized to release them for public sale.
These uncirculated coins are encased in GSA slabs, packaged in black boxes with light-blue velvet-like interiors, and include a message from President Richard Nixon.
Today, SD Bullion offers 1882-1884-CC Morgan Silver Dollars GSA with Box & Certificate of Authenticity of varied mintages, sealed in NGC slabs and graded as MS-61 coins.

The words "E PLURIBUS UNUM," thirteen five-pointed stars representing the Thirteen Original Colonies, and the year of issuance at the base accompany the design.
The reverse showcases a Bald Eagle with outstretched wings, clutching arrows and olive branches amidst laurels, and the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST," "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," and "ONE DOLLAR."
An NGC MS-61 Coin
NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company is an internationally recognized service that appraises coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale to grade them from 1 to 70, according to their condition.
An MS-Mint State coin has the same format as a business coin. Grade 61 indicates that the coin’s mint luster may be diminished, with clusters of minor contact marks and noticeable hairlines.
