CAC MS-62 $20 Saint Gaudens Double Eagle Gold Coin No Motto - Random Year
The US Mint first issued the $20 St. Gaudens Double Eagle Gold Coins in 1907 during President Theodore Roosevelt's administration. These coins were intended for widespread circulation, held legal tender status, and had a denomination of $20, containing .9675 Troy oz of actual gold.
The 1907 and early 1908 editions are distinct from later versions because they do not feature the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the reverse side. This motto was only added in mid-1908, and the coins without it are now referred to as "No Motto" Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles.
The production of $20 Double Eagle Gold Coins ceased in 1933 due to the economic downturn following the 1929 Wall Street crash. That severely decreased the amount of $20 Double Eagle and other Pre-1933 Gold Coins in the numismatic market.
At SD Bullion, you can acquire $20 St. Gaudens Double Eagle Gold Coins No Motto, sealed in CAC slabs and graded as MS-62 coins, randomly selected, from SD Bullion.
