The Design

The design includes information regarding the coin’s face value, weight, and metal content. The words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and the mottos “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “IN GOD WE TRUST” complete the design.

NGC considers “First Day of Issue” a coin purchased from its original mint on the first day of its release and submitted to NGC appraisal.

The initials PF stand for Proof Coin, indicating a coin produced for collection purposes. It exhibits mirror-like surfaces in contrast with frosted design elements. The expression “UCAM” or Ultra Cameo means this contrast is deeper and more intense than in other proof coins.

Grade 70 is the highest and is attributed to coins with no visible marks.
