2025 PCGS MS-69 First Day of Issue 1 oz British Silver Britannia and Liberty Coin - Exclusive Label
Follwing an unprecedented partnership between the Royal Mint and the US Mint, the Britannia and Liberty Series returns for its second release in 2025. This year, SD Bullion is proud to partner with them to offer this series exclusively to our customers! Through iconic gold and silver coins, this series honors the long-lasting partnership between two of the world's most storied nations—The United States and The United Kingdom.
The combined talents of the Royal Mint and the US Mint Chief Engravers resulted in an alluring shared reverse design starring Britannia and Liberty.
Britannia and Liberty, symbols of strength and freedom, are enduring icons of the United Kingdom and the United States, respectively. These powerful female figures represent virtues that are fundamental to each nation's identity.
Britannia personifies resilience and fortitude, reflecting Britain's steadfast spirit. Liberty, rooted in the ideals of the Declaration of Independence, embodies the principle of freedom—one of the core values upon which the United States was founded and continues to uphold.
These coins, in particular, contain 1 Troy oz of 99.9% pure silver. They were purchased from the Royal Mint on their first official release day and submitted to PCGS for grading.
Exclusively at SD Bullion, you can find 2025 1 oz British Britannia and Liberty Silver Coin sealed in PCGS slabs and graded as MS-69 First Day of Issue.

The reverse combines Britannia and Liberty’s depiction through a right-profile closeup, with heads in opposing orientations.
Britannia, designed by Royal Mint Chief Engraver Gordon Summers, wears a Corinthian helmet and carries a trident. Created by US Mint Chief Engraver Joseph Menna, Lady Liberty holds a torch and has free-flowing, star-adorned hair.
The design also contains the inscriptions “BRITANNIA AND LIBERTY. " The coin’s information regarding issuance, weight, fineness, and metal content reads “2025,” “1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER.”
A PCGS MS-69 First Day of Issue coin
PCGS - Professional Coin Grading Service grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins based on their condition, from 70 to 1.
PCGS considers a “First Day of Issue” coin one that was purchased from its original mint on the first day of its official release and submitted for grading.
MS stands for Mint State and describes a widespread circulation coin that has never been in circulation. Grade 69 is attributed to a coin whose original luster is preserved despite almost invisible minor contact marks or flaws.
