The Design

The reverse design features Emily Damstra's depiction of the mighty Bald Eagle perched on a branch with its wings spread. 

The image is surrounded by the engravings “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” “1 OZ,” and “FINE SILVER,” and the motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM.” 

On the obverse, Lady Liberty is portrayed walking towards the sun with the American flag draped over her shoulder, oak and laurel branches in her arms, and a welcome sign.

Additional inscriptions refer to the year of issuance, the word “LIBERTY,” the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the bald eagle privy mark.

PCGS (Professional Coins Grading Service) appraises and certifies coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.

PCGS considers “First Strike” a coin submitted to its appraisal that was purchased from its original mint within 30 days of its official release.

MS stands for Mint State. Mint State coins are shaped like business coins. Grade 70 is attributed to flawless coins.
