The Design

The reverse, designed by Emily Damstra and included in the US Silver Eagle in 2021, features a Bald Eagle perched on a branch with its wings spread. 

The engravings “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” “1 OZ,” “FINE SILVER,” and the motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM” accompany the design.

The obverse is the renowned Walking Liberty design, signed by Adolph A. Weinman, which portrays Lady Liberty walking towards the sun with the American flag draped over her shoulder, oak and laurel branches in her arms, and a welcome sign for those seeking shelter in the New World. 

It also displays the year of issuance, the word “LIBERTY,” the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the bald eagle privy mark on the right.

PCGS (Professional Coins Grading Service) appraises and certifies coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.

MS stands for Mint State, indicating a coin crafted in the format of a business circulation coin. Since it has never been in circulation, the coin has no flaws, which grants it a 70 grade.
