The United States Mint has once again made history with the release of the 2025 Eagle Privy 1 oz American Silver Eagle—only the second bullion Silver Eagle ever to feature a special privy mark. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin was struck with the brand-new highly detailed Eagle Privy. Following the 2024 Star Privy release, the Eagle Privy has a limited mintage of only 500,000 making it one of the most anticipated releases in the Silver Eagle series.

The American Silver Eagle remains the most trusted and widely collected silver bullion coin in the world. The addition of a privy mark—a subtle but defining feature traditionally used to create limited sub-issues—enhances both the scarcity and the collectible value of this coin.

Each 2025 Eagle Privy Silver Eagle offered here comes in raw (ungraded) Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition. These pieces offer an affordable entry point for collectors and investors alike, particularly those looking to own a piece of Silver Eagle history at launch.

Please note: Eagle Privy Silver Eagles were a special, limited-release bullion Silver Eagle minted at the Philadelphia Mint. In contrast, standard-issue bullion Silver Eagles are produced at the West Point Mint, a facility specifically designed for high-speed, high-quality bullion coin production.

The Philadelphia Mint primarily focuses on striking circulation coinage and collector releases. Because bullion coinage is rarely struck there, the Eagle Privy Silver Eagles were produced to a different quality standard than the standard West Point Silver Eagles. As a result, Philadelphia Mint Eagle Privy Silver Eagles may show contact marks, abrasions, or spotting that are not typically seen on standard West Point Silver Eagles.

Any Philadelphia Mint Eagle Privy Silver Eagles exhibiting these characteristics are considered as struck by the US Mint and are not eligible for return or exchange.

The Design

On the obverse, Lady Liberty walks confidently toward the rising sun, draped in the American flag, with olive and oak branches in hand. This classic design by Adolph A. Weinman has been a symbol of freedom since its first appearance in 1916. The Eagle Privy Mark, placed near the inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST," distinguishes this release from all prior Silver Eagles.

The reverse, introduced in 2021, features Emily Damstra’s bold Bald Eagle, shown landing on a branch with outstretched wings—symbolizing strength, vigilance, and freedom. Inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
