2024-S NGC PF-70 UC First Day of Issue Morgan Dollar Proof Silver Coin - Morgan Dollar Label
The Morgan Dollar is a historic silver coin minted in the United States from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921.
Named after its designer, George T. Morgan, it features a portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse and an eagle on the reverse. Struck from 90% silver, it symbolized American expansion during the late 19th century.
In 2021, to mark the 100th anniversary of their final issuance, the US Mint released a commemorative bullion version, which became a regular strike because of its high acceptance among investors and collectors worldwide.
Those issued in the San Francisco branch bear the “S” mint mark.
SD Bullion offers 2024-S Morgan Silver Dollars, purchased from the US Mint on day #1 of their official release. They are graded as PF-70 UC coins and sealed in NGC slabs with the commemorative 100th Anniversary Morgan Dollar Label.

An NGC PF-70 UC First Day of Issue Coin
NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company), which operates independently of sovereign mints, appraises and certifies coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.
NGC considers “First Day of Issue” a coin purchased from its original mint on the very first day of its official release.
The initials PF stand for Proof Coin, indicating a coin produced for collection purposes. It exhibits mirror-like surfaces in contrast with frosted design elements.
The expression “UC,” “UCAM,” or Ultra Cameo means this contrast is deeper and more intense than in other proof coins. Grade 70 is attributed to flawless coins.
