The Design

The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's design, “The Walking Liberty.” In the image, Lady Liberty is a feminine figure who represents the American nation.

The word “LIBERTY” is inscribed on top, “IN GOD WE TRUST” is on the lower right, “2024” is on the bottom rim, and the five-pointed star privy mark is on the right. 

The Bald Eagle design was created by artist Emily Damstra and introduced in the American Eagle Program in 2021. It features the Bald Eagle perched on a branch in a more natural depiction than the previous heraldic eagle design. The inscriptions regarding weight, metal content, and purity are: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” “1 OZ,” and “FINE SILVER.”
