2024 NGC MS-70 First Day of Issue 1 oz American Eagle Silver Coin - Exclusive Reagan Label

American Silver Eagles are the official silver coin in the US. The US Mint introduced them to the bullion market in 1986. They weigh 1 Troy oz of 99.9% fine silver.

In fact, the US Silver Eagles were only possible thanks to the 40th US President Ronald Reagan, who supported and signed the Liberty Coin Act of 1985 and the Bullion Coin Act of 1985, which kickstarted the production of US Gold and Silver Eagles.

Reagan strongly endorsed coin collecting and bullion hoarding. He even declared the week of April 17 "National Coin Week."

SD Bullion proudly presents 2024 1 oz American Silver Eagles, taken among those available for purchase in the US Mint on day #1. They are certified by NGC as MS-70 coins and exclusively sealed with our exclusive Ronald Reagan Facsimile Signature label, featuring his portrait overlaying the Oval Office.

The word “LIBERTY” is engraved on top, the year of issuance is at the bottom, and the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” is on the lower right.

The reverse showcases the Bald Eagle perched on a branch with spread wings. Engravings “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” “1 OZ,” “FINE SILVER,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM” encircle the whole reverse image.

An NGC MS-70 First Day of Issue Coin

NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company and other renowned third-party services work independently from sovereign mints to certify coins using the Sheldon Scale. The scale ranks coins from 1 to 70 according to their condition.

It considers “First Day of Issue,” a coin purchased from the US Mint on the very first day it was made publicly available.

MS or Mint State refers to a piece with the same format as a widespread circulation coin that remained uncirculated. Grade 70 is attributed to coins with no visible flaws.
