The Design
This coin is shaped to reproduce a real Barbie™.
The colored obverse portrays Barbie™ in an upstanding position, with her long blonde hair tied in a waterfall ponytail and dressed in a full black-white ballgown.
The reverse design is entirely silver, with the number 65 repeatedly imprinted, creating a background pattern. On top, the numbers “65” and “59” are engraved, representing the 65th Anniversary of the doll’s first release in 1959.
These engravings are followed by “Barbie” in the brand’s exact lettering and the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, which is encircled by the “SOLOMON ISLANDS,” “2 DOLLARS,” “2024,” and ”ELIZABETH II.”
Beneath this circle, the coin’s weight, purity, and metal content read “1 OZ 999.9 FINE SILVER.”
The serial number is engraved on the bottom.
The surfaces exhibit a bright luster because it is a proof coin, highlighting the colors imprinted in the image and the silver's natural glow.
