2023 2 oz Solomon Islands Liberty Bell Silver Coin
America The Free Series strikes its second edition bringing another emblematic symbol to the US history of independence: The Liberty Bell.
Unlike ordinary rounded silver coins, this series displays uniquely shaped coins weighing 2 oz of 999.9 pure silver.
The first edition showcased a perfect depiction of the Statue of Liberty. And in 2023, the Liberty Bell gets the patriotic colors of the American flag.
Despite being collectible silver bullion coins, they are legal tender and hold monetary denominations guaranteed by the Solomon Islands.
Coin Highlights
- Contains 2 oz of .9999 pure silver in a proof-like finish;
- Shaped as the Liberty Bell;
- Produced by PAMP with legal tender status backed by the Solomon Islands;
- 2nd limited strike of America The Free Series;
- The reverse features iconic US landmarks;
- The obverse displays the original inscriptions of the Liberty Bell.
- It comes in a custom-shaped capsule and displayable packaging.
The Obverse Design
The obverse design showcases a brilliant monochromatic silver surface. The inscriptions correspond to the original quote written in bronze on the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia. They read: “Proclaim Liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.”
The four-digit serial number lies on the left.
Beneath the quote, Queen Elizabeth II’s effigy is encircled by “ELIZABETH II” and “SOLOMON ISLANDS.”
And on the bottom, the coin’s face value is on the lower left as “$5”, while the year of issuance is on the lower right as “2023.”
The Reverse Design
The reverse design features the Liberty Bell with original engravings and details, including the crack.
It is enveloped in the American Flag and exhibits the same red-blue patriotic colors.
In the middle of the flag’s strips, where the color white was supposed to be, the design features iconic landmarks of American History, like, Paul Revere riding his horse at night, the Charter of Privileges, and the Independence Hall.
The piece where the Bell is hung features the collection’s name, “AMERICA THE FREE,” with the coin’s weight, metal content, and purity under it, as “2 OZ 999.9 AG.”
The Coin’s Information
The Liberty Bell silver coins are legal tender, fully backed by the Solomon Islands Government, and have a five-dollar face value. They weigh two troy ounces of 99.99% of pure silver.
PAMP Suisse started this collection with the 2 oz Statue of Liberty Silver Coins. The Liberty Bell Silver Coin is a second edition with a limited strike of 3,500 units in a proof-like finish.
Each coin has a unique serial number and certification card, providing authenticity and anticounterfeit measures.
