The Design
Unlike its larger counterparts, the ½ oz coin depicts only the current national seal on the obverse. 
The Coat of Arms of Mexico displays the Eagle defeating a rattlesnake, symbolizing Mexican superiority over foreign domination. “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS” encircles the image.
The reverse design features Victoria, also known as the Angel of Victory, on top of the Independence Column, in Mexico City. And two folk volcanoes, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl, are the background image. 
The coin’s descriptions regarding weight, metal content, fineness, and issuance are inscribed as “½ ONZA PLATA PURA 2023 LEY .999”, and the “M” on the right represents Mexico Mint’s mark.
The Lack of Face Value
Devoid of denomination but fully guaranteed legal tender status, the Central Bank of Mexico values Silver Libertads based on their purity and weight. Therefore, their value is measured according to the silver spot price.
