The Tudor Dynasty was formed after the War of the Roses, a battle for the throne between the Houses of Lancaster and York. Following the marriage of these two families, Henry VII succeeded to the throne and used heraldry to demonstrate his power. Following Henry VII's death, his son, Henry VIII, succeeded to the throne and continued his father's tradition of displaying his dominance by creating ten stone sculptures of monsters and legendary creatures around Hampton Court Palace's perimeter. The mythological beasts that line the Palace's Moat Bridge inspired the Royal Tudor Beasts Collection.

Design:

This series consists of coins struck in silver, gold, and platinum. The coins come in various sizes depending on the metal type. This particular coin contains ¼ ounce of .9999 pure gold. Struck in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, this coin is sold individually.

The Lion of England is a well-known symbol that has appeared throughout England's history. This beast is often associated with the regime's values of courage, strength, dignity, and pride.

The regal lion that guards the Hampton Court Palace's Moat Bridge is featured on the coin's reverse face. The lion is shown with a lovely crown on his head and a shield with impaled arms. This coat of arms depicts Henry VIII with his third wife, Jane Seymour. The coin's amazing craftsmanship brings the lion to life. The artwork is surrounded by the inscriptions "Lion of England," "1/4 oz," "Gold 999.9," and "2022."
