2010 PCGS MS-69 First Strikes 5 oz America the Beautiful Grand Canyon Silver Coin - John Mercanti Label
The America The Beautiful Quarter Program seeks to highlight America's most iconic spots, preserved as national sites due to their natural or historical significance.
From 2010 to 2021, the program issued five silver coins annually, each weighing 5 Troy ounces and with a face value of 25 cents.
The Grand Canyon Silver Coin, the fourth release of 2010 and the fourth in the series features the Grand Canyon in Arizona, which became a national site in 1893. This vast landscape spans 277 river miles, reaches up to 18 miles wide, and plunges a mile deep, offering stunning views.
These coins, in particular, were purchased from the US Mint within the first 30 days of their official release and sealed in a PCGS slab with an exclusive John Mercanti Label.
John M. Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver of the US Mint, created numerous designs for US circulating, commemorative, and bullion coins, including the original reverse of the Silver Eagles. In 2021, he was recognized as one of the most influential figures in numismatics.
Today, SD Bullion offers the 2010 5 oz America The Beautiful Grand Canyon Silver Coin, graded as an MS-69 “First Strikes” coin, sealed in PCGS slabs with the Exclusive John Mercanti Label.
