2003 1/10 oz American Eagle Gold Coins
The 1/10 oz Gold Eagle is the smallest fractional size from the American Gold Eagle series. Struck from 22-karat gold (.9167 fineness), the coin’s alloy includes 3% silver and 5,33% copper for added durability. Despite the alloy, it contains a full 1/10 oz of pure gold.
It is legal tender and holds a five-dollar denomination, fully backed by the US Government.
The program's debuting coin is the 1 oz Gold Eagle, but the series also comprises 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz coins.
