This Silver Round was created as a tribute to the famous 1804 Dollar. The 1804-dated U.S. Dollar Coin was made on behalf of President Andrew Jackson, regarded by collectors as "The King of American Coins". There are only fifteen specimens that are known to exist today of the 1804 Dollar. Though all these dollars were actually minted in the 1830s or later, the date on them is 1804. This is because the US government wanted to give 1804 dollars as gifts to foreign governments. They chose 1804 because it was the last year that US Dollar coins were minted before they were temporarily discontinued. However, they could not find any dollars actually minted in 1804 so they just minted new dollars with the year of 1804 on them.

The composition of the original 1804 Dollar was 90% Silver, however, this 1804 Dollar Tribute Round is minted using two troy ounces of .999 fine silver.

The obverse of this 1804 Dollar Silver Round features a woman looking to the right. Surrounding the woman are 13 stars, honoring the original 13 colonies. Above the woman’s head is the word “LIBERTY” and below is “1804”.

The reverse of this silver round features the Seal of the United States, which is an eagle spreading its wings, clutching arrows and an olive branch in its talons. In front of the eagle is a shield, along with a banner featuring the phrase “E PLURIBUS UNUM”. Just above the eagle is a grouping 13 stars, the same as the obverse. Surrounding the eagle are the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”. Just below the eagle in very small letters are the words “2 TROY OUNCES .999 FINE SILVER”.
