The Design

On the obverse, the Rifleman prepares to shoot while riding a horse. The first circle surrounding the rifleman’s depiction is a rope, and the second is a sequence of spikes.

Engravings describing weight, fineness, and metal content read “5 TROY OZ - 9999 FINE SILVER.”

The background is covered in patterns, and a small Buffalo privy mark is on the lower right.

The reverse features the crowned lion, the main symbol of the Scottsdale Mint’s logo, encircled by a rope. The Mint’s name is on top, and the words “RIDE FOR THE BRAND” are at the bottom rim.
