On the reverse, Saint-Gaudens illustrates a Bald Eagle soaring above the sun, with the inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “TWENTY DOLLARS.”
An NGC MS-64 Coin
NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70 according to their condition.
MS stands for Mint State, referring to coins issued in the same format as a business circulation coin. 64 is the grade given to coins with average luster, noticeable, light scuff marks, or defects but with attractive overall quality.
