This stunning 1924 Peace Dollar has been certified genuine and graded Mint State 64 by NGC —one of two major coin grading companies trusted by collectors. The Philadelphia Mint produced far fewer Peace dollars in 1924 (11 million) than they did the previous 2 years (1923: 30 Million, 1922:51 million).The extraordinary design of the Peace Dollar has made it one of the most beloved coins ever produced by the US Mint. It’s classic symbols of Lady Liberty and the Bald Eagle were given an innovative and realistic restyling by artist Anthony de Francisci. The coin was specifically designed to represent the peace hoped for after victory in World War I.
