1916-1947 NGC MS-65 Walking Liberty Half Dollar Coin - Original Bag Fragment
The Walking Liberty coin circulated in the US from 1916 to 1947 as the official health-dollar coin.
It was composed of a silver-copper alloy and imprinted with the famous Walking Liberty design, signed by Adolph A. Weinman. Decades later, the American Eagle Program rescued it as the official obverse of US Silver Eagles.
These half-dollar coins, in particular, were taken from an original bag fragment from where they used to be shipped and submitted to NGC appraisal.
Today, SD Bullion sells Walking Liberty Half Dollar Coins graded by NGC as MS-65 samples. According to your inventory availability, they may have varied mintages from 1916 to 1947, randomly taken from our stocks.

The reverse design depicts the Bald Eagle perched on the edge of a rock, preparing wings to fly and carrying oak branches on its talons.
The words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” are inscribed on top, “‘E PLURIBUS UNUM” on the left, and the coin’s face value is beneath the eagle and reads “HALF-DOLLAR.”
An NGC MS-65 Coin
NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70 according to their condition.
An MS-65 coin means that the analyzed coin has the same format as a business coin that still displays high-quality luster despite its aged mintage. Minor contact marks and scatters may be noticeable, but the coin has an overall quality above the average.
