The Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle is one of the world's most celebrated Pre-1933 gold coins.

It was designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and was minted in the United States from 1907 to 1933 as the official twenty-dollar gold coin. 

Composed of .9675 troy ounces of gold, it combines intrinsic value with historical and numismatic significance. Its iconic design, symbolizing patriotism and artistry, was later revived for the American Gold Eagle series, ensuring its enduring legacy.

The Design

The reverse depicts the Bald Eagle flying above the sun accompanied by the engravings “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “TWENTY DOLLARS.”
