PCGS MS-64 $10 Liberty Eagle Gold Coin - Random Year
Liberty Eagle gold coins were the $10 coins in circulation in the United States from 1838 to 1907 until they were replaced by the $10 Indian Head Gold Coin.
During the economic crisis of the 1930s, many Liberty Eagle Gold Coins, equivalent to .4837 oz of actual gold, were confiscated, hoarded, and melted down due to their gold content. This significantly reduced the number of Pre-1933 Gold Coins available on the market.
Today, SD Bullion offers $10 Liberty Eagle Gold Coins sealed and certified by PCGS as MS-64 coins. However, the year of mintage may vary, depending on our inventory availability at the time of shipping.

The Design
Christian Gobrecht, the third Chief Engraver of the US Mint, was in charge of the $10 Liberty coin design
The obverse features Lady Liberty’s effigy wearing a coronet inscribed "LIBERTY." It is surrounded by thirteen stars, symbolizing the original thirteen colonies and the year of mintage.
The reverse showcases the Heraldic Eagle, which bears the national shield on its chest, arrows and oak branches in its talons, and the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" on a banner above.
The encircling inscriptions read "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "TEN D.," indicating the coin's face value.
A PCGS MS-64 coin
PCGS - Professional Coin Grading Service appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70 based on their condition.
MS stands for Mint State, referring to coins issued in the same format as a business circulation coin. 64 is the grade given to coins with average luster, noticeable, light scuff marks, or defects but with attractive overall quality.
