NGC/PCGS MS-64 $5 Indian Half Eagle Gold Coin - Random Year
The Indian Head Half Eagle coin, valued at $5, was an official U.S. currency minted from 1908 to 1929.
The U.S. Mint produced the coin at its facilities in Denver, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and San Francisco. The design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens features a Native American Chief in homage to American heritage.
During the 1930s economic downturn, many of these coins were either hoarded or melted down for their gold content, leading to a significant decline in their numbers.
SD Bullion offers $5 Indian Head Half Eagle gold coins of varied years, graded as MS-64 by either NGC or PCGS, of varied mintage, randomly selected from our inventory at the time of shipping.

An NGC/PCGS MS-64 coin
NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) and PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) are renowned third-party services that appraise and grade coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale. The scale ranks coins from 1 to 70.
For both services, MS stands for Mint State, referring to coins issued in the same format as a business circulation coin. 64 is the grade given to coins with average luster, noticeable, light scuff marks, or defects but with attractive overall quality.
