A goldback is a non-dollar currency that is accepted as a form of payment in some locations within the United States. Each goldback is made from .999 pure gold paint applied to a plastic film to form a goldback note. The Utah Goldback, Nevada Goldback, and New Hampshire Goldback are all attempts to authorize gold-backed currency circulation in states where such legislation has been passed. Each state's businesses decide whether or not to accept goldbacks as a form of payment.

Goldbacks come in a variety of sizes, ranging from 1/1000th of an ounce to 1/20th of an ounce. The year of mintage may vary based on currently available supply.

The Gold Aurum Nevada 5 Goldback Note (24K) contains 1/200th of a troy ounce of gold and is shipped in either plastic sleeves or bundles of 100. The design features Sophia, who personifies the Greek goddess of wisdom, Athena. The detail on goldback is captivating to customers that love and collect these notes.
