Gold Aurum Nevada 25 Goldback Note (24K)

A goldback is a non-dollar currency that is accepted as a form of payment in some locations within the United States. Each goldback is made from .999 pure gold paint applied to a plastic film to form a goldback note. The Utah Goldback, Nevada Goldback, and New Hampshire Goldback are all attempts to authorize gold-backed currency circulation in states where such legislation has been passed. Each state's businesses decide whether or not to accept goldbacks as a form of payment.

Goldbacks come in a variety of sizes, ranging from 1/1000th of an ounce to 1/20th of an ounce. The year of mintage may vary based on currently available supply.

The Gold Aurum Nevada 25 Goldback Note (24K) contains 1/40th of a troy ounce of gold and is shipped in a plastic sleeve. The design features the symbol of Fortitude through a winged goddess called Nike. The gorgeous detail creates a captivating look to this foil note.
