The Design

The reverse design features a close-up view of a ram with gentle eyes and large horns.

Inscriptions along the bottom rim detail the coin's weight of “ONE TROY OUNCE,” its “.9999” purity, and the metal content “FINE GOLD.” 

A hidden message is micro-engraved on the horn. 

The obverse design showcases the Coat of Arms of Niue, a self-governed nation associated with New Zealand, giving the coin its legal tender status.
