The Design

The obverse features Jody Clark’s renowned depiction of former Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse side. 

The coin’s descriptions regarding the Queen’s name and reigning period, the coin’s origin, weight, fineness, metal content, and face value encircle Her Majesty’s right-profile bust and read “ELIZABETH II,” “1952-2022,” “AUSTRALIA,” “1/4 oz 9999 Au” and “25 DOLLARS.” 

The reverse showcases the Dragon, which names the coins, with a twisted body, a long tail, and sharp paws, in the middle of waves and fog. The Dragon’s corresponding Chinese symbol, and “DRAGON 2024,” is inscribed on the right, while “P125,” standing for the Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary, is on the left.
