The Design

Victoria, the Roman Goddess of Victory, who became a feminine symbol of freedom and a 17-foot monument in Mexico City, is stamped on the reverse side.

In the image, she is an angel with spread wings, carrying a wreath of laurel and broken chains. Two volcano figures are used as background images, symbolizing a beautiful folk love story. 

The coin’s weight, metal content, mintage, and purity read “1/20 ONZA ORO PURO,” “2024,” and “LEY .999.” The “M” aside stands for the mintmark.

On the obverse, the national seal features an eagle perched on a cactus eating a rattlesnake. It is an emblematic symbol of Mexico's defeat of Spanish domination. The words surrounding the seal read “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS.”
