2022 NGC MS-70 First Releases 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coin - Jennie Norris Label
The US Mint introduced the Gold Eagles in 1986 as the inaugural gold coins of the American Eagle Program, becoming the official gold coin of the United States.
The 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle, the largest of the fractional coins in the series, features the same iconic design as its counterparts: Augustus Saint-Gaudens' Lady Liberty on the obverse and Jennie Norris' intricately detailed bald eagle on the reverse.
These specific coins are 1/2 oz Gold Eagles issued by the US Mint and were purchased within the first 30 days of their official release. They are graded as MS-70 by NGC and sealed with the Jennie Norris Label.
Jennie Norris designed the new reverse of the American Gold Eagle, showcasing perhaps the most realistic and intimate portrayal of a bald eagle ever featured on a US coin.

An NGC MS-70 First Releases Coin
NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Scale, which ranges from 1 to 70, apart from sovereign mints.
NGC considers a “First Releases” coin to be one purchased from the Royal Mint during the first 30 days of public availability.
MS abbreviates for Mint State and refers to coins crafted in the same format as a circulation coin that has never circulated. 70 is the highest grade, awarded to coins that do not present visible flaws.
