The Design

The obverse of the 2021 Macau Show Panda depicts two cubs and a Panda mama bear playing on a rock. Inscriptions read “Bay Area Macau Special Numismatic Exhibition” in the middle/right, with the Chinese translation below. 

Yu Min, one of China’s top panda coin designers, created this design. Mr. Yu is highly regarded in numismatic design circles and was the first designer to receive the 2017 Krause Publication’s Life Achievement Award. 

The reverse side commemorates the 2021 Grand Reopening of the Macau Grand Prix Museum by featuring racing cars.

NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company uses the Sheldon Scale, which ranges from 1 to 70, to appraise and grade coins apart from sovereign mints.
