The Design:

The coin is unlike any other Royal Canadian Gold coin for its unique design. The obverse features two strenuous hands panning for gold. As the gold is falling from the pan, it is melting and falling onto the classic Canadian Maple Leaf. This beautiful design is encircled by words such as “Canada 2021,” “Fine Gold 1 Oz Or Pur,” and the purity of 99999. In addition, the obverse face features a micro-engraved maple leaf mark with the number 21, denoting the coins year of issue. 

 

The reverse face features the right-profile effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The issuing country of Canada backs the coin’s denomination of $200, making it the highest face value of any legal tender 1 oz gold bullion coin.
