2020-W PCGS PR-70 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof Coin
The American Silver Eagle made its entry into the numismatic world as a bullion coin in 1986. Its popularity among investors and collectors led the US Mint to introduce the Proof Silver Eagle to the collection.
Proof Silver Eagles share the same patriotic design as their bullion counterparts, featuring Lady Liberty and the Heraldic Eagle. However, their proof finish gives them a distinctive, brilliant luster.
Those Proof Silver Eagles issued through the West Point Mint bear the “W” mint mark on the reverse side.
At SD Bullion, you can find 2020-W 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof Coins, graded as PR-70 coins by PCGS.

The Design
Lady Liberty strides toward the sun's beams on the obverse, enveloped in the American flag, earning the moniker "Walking Liberty." She has oak and laurel branches in one hand while extending the other in a welcoming gesture to new immigrants. It also contains the inscription "LIBERTY," the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the year of minting.
The reverse displays the National Shield upon the Eagle’s chest. The Egle also clutches arrows and olive branches in its talons and a banner bearing the inscription "E PLURIBUS UNUM'' in its beak. Thirteen pointed stars lie above the Eagle, symbolizing the original colonies.
The West Point mint mark, denoted by the letter "W," is in the lower left. Further engravings reading "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR" provide details regarding the coin's origin, weight, metal composition, and denomination.
Its surfaces exhibit a mirror-like luster because it is a proof coin, contrasting with the design’s frosted image.
