2020-S PCGS PR-70 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof Coin
Proof Silver Eagles are a testament to the US Mint’s ingenious craftsmanship. They follow the standard patriotic design of the American Silver Eagle collection, starring Lady Liberty and the Heraldic Eagle. However, due to the proof finish, they showcase a brilliant luster on their surfaces.
Those Proof Silver Eagles minted at the San Francisco Mint bear the “S” mint mark on the reverse side.
Today, SD Bullion offers 2020-S 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof Coins, graded as PR-70 coins by PCGS.

The Design
On the obverse design, Lady Liberty strides toward the sun's beams, enveloped in the American flag, earning the moniker "Walking Liberty." She has oak and laurel branches in one hand while extending the other in a welcoming gesture to new immigrants. It also contains the inscription "LIBERTY," the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the year of minting.
On the reverse side, the Eagle displays the National Shield upon its chest, clutching arrows and olive branches in its talons. A banner bearing the inscription "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is held in its beak. Thirteen pointed stars lie above the Eagle, symbolizing the original colonies.
The San Francisco branch's mint mark, denoted by the letter "S," is in the lower left. Additional inscriptions, including "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR," provide details regarding the coin's origin, weight, metal composition, and denomination.
Its surfaces exhibit a mirror-like luster because it is a proof coin, contrasting with the design’s frosted image.
A PCGS PR70 Coin
PCGS, which stands for Professional Coin Grading Service, operates independently of sovereign mints, evaluating and grading coins according to the Sheldon Scale, from 1 to 70.
PR stands for Proof Coin, indicating a coin produced for collection purposes, which exhibits mirror-like surfaces in contrast with frosted design elements. 70 is the highest grade and indicates a coin with no visible flaws.
