2015-W NGC MS-69 1 oz American Liberty High Relief Gold Coin
The American Liberty coin is the first high-relief gold coin produced by the US Mint. Made of 99.99% pure gold, it holds the highest face value of USD 100.
Designed by US Mint’s Artistic Infusion Program members, the American Liberty Gold Coins feature unique and enhanced portrayals of Lady Liberty and the Bald Eagle, accentuated by the coin’s 3-D effect.
These coins, in particular, carry the “W” mint mark, identifying the West Point branch as the mint that issued them.

The Design
The obverse, designed by Justin Kunz, features a youthful Lady Liberty adorned with a wreath crown, holding a torch in one hand and the American flag on a pole in the other. The word "LIBERTY" arches above the image, the year of issuance is on the lower left, and the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" is at the bottom.
On the reverse, Paul C. Balan's design depicts the Bald Eagle in flight with an olive branch in its talons. The image includes the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" at the top, the "W" mint mark from West Point on the left, the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and details about the coin's weight, purity, metal content, and face value, reading "1 OZ .9999 FINE GOLD" and "ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS."
Due to the high relief, the design elements exhibit depth and height, surpassing the coin's edges.
