2012-P NGC MS-69 PL First Releases 5 oz America the Beautiful El Yunque Silver Coin

2012-P NGC MS-69 PL First Releases 5 oz America the Beautiful El Yunque Silver Coin
Paying tribute to America’s natural treasures and rich history, the US Mint crafted the America The Beautiful Quarter Program from 2010 to 2021. It consists of a special themed series of quarter-dollar coins weighing 5 Troy oz of 99.9% fine silver.
The El Yunque Silver Coin was the first coin released in 2012 and the 11th in the series.
El Yunque National Forest, located in Puerto Rico, became a national site in 1903. It is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. Despite its relatively small size, the forest houses immense biodiversity and is popular with visitors for its year-round tropical climate.
These particular coins carry a “P” mint mark indicating they were issued in the Philadelphia Mint. They exhibit a proof-like appearance and were purchased from the US Mint within the first 30 days of their official release.
SD Bullion offers 2012-P 5 oz America the Beautiful El Yunque Silver Coins, sealed and certified by NGC as MS-69 PL First Releases coins.

An NGC MS-69 PL “First Releases” Coin
Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) is globally acclaimed for evaluating and grading coins with the Sheldon Grading Scale, which rates coins from 1 to 70 based on their condition.
For NGC, “First Releases” refer to coins purchased from the original mint within the first 30 days of their official release and taken to its appraisal.
MS stands for Mint State. Mint State coins are shaped as business coins that have never circulated. 69 is the grade attributed to coins whose flaws are almost invisible.
PL refers to a Proof-like finish, describing coins that exhibit mirrored fields that resemble Proof coins but are actually bullion coins.
