The reverse, designed by Miley Busiek, depicts a female eagle cherishing her hatchling under her wing while the male perches on their nest. 

Weight, metal content, and face value are described as “1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD—5 DOLLARS.” Additional engravings read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.”

NGC, or Numismatic Guaranty Company, is a renowned third-party grading service that appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Scale, which ranges from 1 to 70.
